At the end of the hectic holiday period, Easter bonuses were awarded by Autospeed to Saloon Stock Car drivers.
Each driver who raced at St Day on Good Friday and at Smeatharpe on Easter Monday, received a bonus.
The bonuses had been notified to drivers long before the Easter period, to encourage drivers to head to the south west. The bonuses were tiered, according to which region/country drivers had travelled from.
Special mention is made of the Easter bonuses to inform the array of ignorant social media critics who have bizarrely questioned Autospeed's efforts to attract drivers to race. This, despite the opening two dates at Smeatharpe having been contested by 25 drivers and 24 drivers respectively, thereby ensuring a double points final at each event.
