The race action continues at Smeatharpe, and this time the unlimited cc National Bangers will chase an automatic entry into the Championship of the World at Smeatharpe in July. Having taken their first step on The Road To Gold at St Day in March, the Stock Rods will race at Smeatharpe for the first time this season. Similarly, the Ministox, Back 2 Basics Bangers and BriSCA Micro F2s will all race at the circuit for the first time in 2025

Championship of the World Wild Card
Spring Open Championship
A direct seeded entry into the Championship of the World at Smeatharpe on Saturday 26 July is up for grabs for the big Bangers.
The meeting is the first for unlimited cc National Bangers at Smeatharpe since Spedeworth's Banger World Series event in August 2024.
Points Champion 186 Lewis Fasey has already won one Wild Card this season, as he secured his place in the PRI World Final at Mendips Raceway in September with victory at Smeatharpe on 9 March.
Stock Rods
The Road To Gold continues
Teenage newcomer 913 Ben Faulconbridge and Midlands racer 946 Dave Taylor were sharp away from the blocks when the Stock Rods made their first appearance of the season at St Day on 9 March. Both drivers claimed a brace of race wins, and accordingly, they each earned an instant grade promotion - Faulconbridge to yellow and Taylor to blue.
A first outing of the season is planned by 73 Terry Gallagher.
Ministox
The Ministox are in buoyant health, with a large influx of newcomers for this season.
A first Smeatharpe appearance awaits the junior class.
Back 2 Basics Bangers
On 9 March at St Day, the Back 2 Basics Bangers were in spectacular form. A similar display at Smeatharpe could see them steal the show.
