Smeatharpe Stadium - between Honiton and Taunton EX14 9RF

Sunday 29 July 13:00

The annual Caravan Chaos event is a long standing tradition for the summer time at Smeatharpe, and is set to produce scenes of total and utter devastation at the end of the afternoon.  Westcountry Wreckfest 5 for the 2 Litre National Bangers looks set to be a lively, hard-hitting day.  The Saloon Stock Cars make their penultimate appearance in the south west before their World Championship in mid-August.  As for the non-contact Stock Rods, they will continue their quest towards World Championship qualification.  The youngsters in the Ministox complete the line-up.

They also stock an assortment of other items which contribute to keeping race cars mobile and on track ready to race.

Caravan Chaos

The annual Caravan Chaos will see an orgy of destruction, with ten caravans being smashed into oblivion.
Drivers will hook up their caravan, and try to tow them throughout the race, but along the way, they are likely to wreck their caravans, in one of the most spectacular events of the season.

Saloon Stock Cars

The World Championship for Saloon Stock Cars is fast approaching.  It is scheduled for Kings Lynn on 18 August.  This latest fixture at Smeatharpe is the penultimate south west date before the race for the gold roof.
When last at Smeatharpe, 399 Cole Atkins continued his excellent season by landing the Devon Championship.  The teenager is again set to journey west from his East Anglian base, as he bids to extend his 100% attendance record with Autospeed during the 2018 season.
At the same Devon Championship meeting, 444 Kieran Bellringer scored the first race win of his fledgling Saloon Stock Car career.  The westcountry racer will be looking to build on that performance with another strong display at his home cicruit.
Having made his return to Saloon Stock Cars on 1 July, 476 Ryan Wadling again plans another outing in his ex-Sid Madgwick car.
Having led the Track Championship for much of the season, English Champion 27 Kieren Bradford will be keen to extend his advantage at the top of the chart.
Another local driver, 267 Martin French hopes to be back in action, having been sidelined from the 1 July fixture by illness.

Stock Rods

New grades come into effect
The non-contact Stock Rods will continue their pursuit of places in the World Championship.  The meeting is the penultimate one before the cut-off point on 12 August, when seeded allocations are determined.
Local racer 426 Keith Channon swept to a final win when the Stock Rods were last at Smeatharpe on 1 July.
