2 Litre National Bangers

Sponsored by John Orchard & Co
Last year's Boneshaker was won by 133 Terry Hill
Previously, Boneshaker has been an Easter event, but to avoid the glut of 2 Litre National Banger fixtures at that time of year, Boneshaker has been moved to the prestigious August Bank Holiday slot.
There will be lots of big money on offer, spread across bonuses for Furthest Travelled drivers, race results and an assortment of other prizes such as:
Best Presented Awards
Top Trier Awards
Top Entertainer Awards
Most Wrecked Car Award
The winners of the two big events for 2 Litre National Bangers at Autospeed already staged in 2017, are both set to be present.
Former World Champion 190 Steve Bailey, who won the Winter Open at Smeatharpe in February will make his first St Day appearance of the season.  Fellow former World Champion 162 Brett Ellacott, has already enjoyed St Day success this season, with a string of victories in the National Micro Bangers.
No driver has a better attendance record at National Banger events with Autospeed this season than 45 Anthony Croshaw, and he is due to be present to maintain that ever-present sequence in 2017.
There is good local interest, with 149 Dan Curtis, 196 Phil Chapman, 57 Jay Woolcock, 147 Phil Purdy and 352 Carl Belfield each set to feature.
The Roughnecks from south Wales are intending to make their first St Day visit of the season, with 921 Kairan Wilson and 102 Paul Tew all due to feature in their traditional yellow/lilac colours.

Saloon Stock Cars

Cornish Championship
Sponsored by John Orchard & Co
The Saloon Stock Cars will make their penultimate appearance at St Day for this year
The fixture is strategically placed to link with racing the next day at Smeatharpe, thereby affording long distance drivers the opportunity for two race meetings from one long trek to the westcountry.
On home ground, 447 Adam Hicks and 903 Adam Neville will spearhead the Cornish challenge for honours.  Both drivers are in their debut season of Saloon Stock Cars, and each scored their maiden victory at St Day.
Having made his Saloon Stock Car debut on 30 July at St Day, Ministox graduate 902 Junior Buster will again be on the grid.
Westcountry star 27 Kieren Bradford has moved to the top of the St Day Track Championship chart.
Interest from long distance travellers is encouraging, with British Champion 158 Shane Brown and teenager 399 Cole Atkins each aiming to maintain their 100% attendance record in Cornwall this season.
84 Carl Boswell and East Anglians 800 Scott Greenslade and 217 Sid Madgwick are also planning to make the long haul to the far south west.
