National Bangers (unlimited cc)

Mike May Memorial
Sponsored by A & J Wadebridge Tyres and The Golden Lion, Menherion
The unlimited cc National Bangers will make their first St Day appearance since Blockbuster 2016.
A number of drivers from the rich history of the United Downs Raceway are set to make rare appearances, such as 147 Phil Purdy and 66 Dave Spooner - two drivers who regularly raced in Team events with Mike May.
Second generation racers such as 451 Nigel Belfield and 99 David Spooner are both due on the grid as part of a strong local entry.
There will be a track debut for 66 Darren Geary and 72 Billy Bond, who is due to journey all the way from East Anglia.
Former World Champion 382 Danny Hunt is another notable name on the entry list.
To reflect the significance of the day; remembering Mike May who often raced in a Jaguar, some drivers have old and unusual cars for the occasion.
There is another welcome return to the westcountry for 384 John Golden who racked up an impressive run of successive appearances at Blockbuster.  Needless to say 'Goldie' has a new Hawaiian shirt for the Grand Parade.
Indeed, during the Grand Parade all drivers will be presented with a special memento of the day.

The Saloon Stock Cars will make their first St Day appearance of the year.
The Easter period is a particularly busy one for Saloon Stock Cars, with racing on four consecutive days - starting with Northampton on Good Friday, Kings Lynn on Easter Saturday, St Day on Easter Sunday and concluding on Easter Monday at Smeatharpe.
Cornish racer 980 Charlie Lobb will lead the local entry.  Teenager Lobb won two of the three races when Saloon Stock Cars made their first St Day appearance of the season on 24 March.
In marked contrast, his fellow westcountry racer, 902 Junior Buster, had a meeting to forget that afternoon as mechanical issues prevented him from competing in any of the races.
Amongst the visiting entry, 800 Scott Greenslade has been a regular visitor to St Day in the past, whilst 316 Danny McCluskey is set to make another Easter visit to the Cornish venue.
399 Cole Atkins won the Western Championship on Easter Sunday last year, and it is little surprise that he is set to return to defend the trophy.
Scottish representation will see 620 Aaryn Triggs back at St Day, having been a race winner there on 24 March, and a visit from 670 Ross Watters.
