On this day in 2015, the very first Truck & Lorry racing event at St Day produced the outrageous scenario of a race being won by a refuse vehicle – 224 Steve Williams being at the wheel of the bin lorry.  In the day’s Destruction Derby, Steve used the bin lorry to attack 225 Richy Edmonds in his Renault tractor unit, but Richy had the last laugh when he reversed back and Steve fell off and over to the side.
