On this day in 1997, the BriSCA F2 Stock Cars contested a World Championship qualifying round at St Day, which brought another final win at the Cornish venue for 167 Bill Batten.  Brothers 737 Neil Lampshire and 137 Mike Lampshire were amongst the entry of 28 cars and are pictured here in close combat during the day’s consolation race, when they finished eighth and ninth respectively.
