National Bangers Championship Of The World

The race format for the National Bangers Championship of the World at Smeatharpe on Sunday 6 September will be dependent upon numbers.

Autospeed are all too aware of the annoying trend of drivers booking in for National Banger meetings, but then not honouring that booking.

Accordingly, if there are insufficient cars to ensure a meaningful Last Chance Qualifier race, then the grid for the World Final will be formed in two parts.  The front section of the grid will be the Seeded Entrants.  They will have a public draw for grid positions.  The rear section of the grid will be for those drivers who should have contested the Last Chance Qualifier race.

Hence, it may well be that every driver who attends on 6 September, will get to race the World Final.
