Adam Ignaczak

Autospeed were very saddened to learn of the death of Stock Rod driver 83 Adam Ignaczak, who passed away on 11 January 2015.

Adam, who was only 31, fell ill a few weeks before Christmas 2014, but having been admitted to hospital with pneumonia, he was diagnosed with lung cancer less than one week before he passed away.

Having joined the Stock Rods with Autospeed at the start of 2012, Adam had raced regularly for three seasons, and in October 2014, he gave his brand new car some trial laps at his home venue, the United Downs Raceway, St Day.

The unraced car will lead the funeral parade on Friday 23 January.  This will leave Pendarves Street at 1.15pm and head to Treslothan Church, Troon.  A wake will be held afterwards, at Camborne RFC.

Those persons attending the funeral are asked to wear bright clothes and to note, 'No Flowers'; donations to Cancer UK.
